Police, fire fighters and council officers in 90-minute chase to catch runaway bull
The animal, a Dexter calf, had escaped from its home in a nature reserve in Chandler's Ford, Hampshire, and was seen running down a footpath.
As the chase continued even more police were drafted in, as well as a council officer and a local farmer.
But the bull was continued to charge down the next street towards shops until it was eventually cornered in a residential garden and subsequently taken to a nearby farm.
The drama was captured by a TV documentary crew who had been following the animal rescue team, following the escape by the bull on Tuesday.
Owner Mark Black was contacted to come and collect the animal. He said: "He must have jumped a fence. I have to assume it was a dog walker who let their dog off its lead and spooked him.
"Usually he would follow the rest of the herd but he must have become separated, which makes me think he must have been chased off the field."
